A Very Local Weekend

I enjoyed a “Very Local Weekend” with my niece Ariana.
Among being a Vocal Artist she is a professional Journalist and invited me to spend the day with her as she flitted around the Central Florida area visiting unique locations. Click here to visit Ariana’s world.

Our first stop was to at the Rose Cafe to hunt down a good “Breakfast Sandwich”.

On our way to the next destination we spotted a rose garden and stopped to “smell the roses”.

The next stop was at the quaint book store called: Writer’s Block Bookstore. Truly a hidden gem with a cute little cafe hidden in the back. Nice vibe.

we discovered another hidden gems in Central #florida – ?? who screams for ice-cream… ah and Passion Fruit sorbet at Kelly’s Ice Cream? The search was for vegan ice-cream, I opted for the passion fruit sorbet, yummy.

and sometimes, hidden gems are in public view and still hidden. This we spotted going down a local road off the beaten path in Winter Park… and we turned it into a memorable moment as we pretended to swing and chase butterflies.

We often fail to see what wonders are around us. Sometimes we need someone else to help us see the world through rose colored glasses, and there is where we find the magic that was there all along.
