Mainstreet Deland is one of my ‘go-to’ places because it has a nice variety of restaurants all in walking distance intermixed with lots of quaint shops and it’s not too far to drive to.
The mix of stores and shops is well balanced and thought out. One can decide to stroll either before or after dining, either way quite enjoyable.

The Mainstreet shops are like escape nooks… one can possibly get lost in time while visiting each one.
From ‘tea rooms’, novelty shops, vintage stores and book stores one needs to leave time at home and expect to get lost in time and into the “here and now” … and as you can see I have my favorite travel fairy Ariana with me, which means magic fairy dust was surely sprinkled everywhere we went.
… and yes I too agree with both these sign: “a room without a book is like a body without a soul.” and “don’t stop livin'”
